To the documentary community…
Rebecca recently delivered a keynote at IDFA festival, to open a half day conference on the subject of Livelihood in our industry. We’ve decided to publish her words, because while she wrote this for filmmakers, using their words and capturing their experience, we think this was really meant to be heard by people in our industry who are making decisions, who are distributing funds, who are in positions of power, who are developing talent, who have the financial capacity and job security to take risks and demand that we do things differently.
